Thanks for dropping in and taking your first step toward optimal health. I’m Valerie Warren, certified Nutritional Therapy practitioner. Since 2005, I have been teaching people ways to improve their own vitality and longevity through nutritional supplementation, detoxification, and dietary modification.

Have you ever experienced any of the following?

  • indigestion
  • fatigue
  • irritable bowels
  • insomnia
  • excessive gas
  • irritability
  • acid reflux
  • stomach pain
  • headaches
  • muscle pain
  • cramps
  • body aches
  • fuzzy-headedness
  • memory loss
  • frequent colds
  • hot flashes
  • joint stiffness
  • exhaustion at the day’s end
  • Most people that come to see me say they do. Have you maybe even written off these complaints as normal, or as a sign that you are simply getting older?

If your body is out of balance, loaded down with waste, and lacking proper nutrition, any and all of the above symptoms can result. But you don’t have to continue to suffer! Through some very simple techniques, I can show you how to rebalance and heal your own body to attain ultimate health.

    Essential Fats

I am learning new protocols all of the time.  One I just learned is the importance of essential fats for males and females.  It is very important to make sure that you are taking in all of the essential fats.  This includes, Omega3, Omega6, Omega9, and the correct saturated fat for your body requirements.  Some people cannot get the proper amount of cholesterol needed for their endorchrin system by just eating meats and dairy.  I have found that plant saturated fats such as, organic, unprocessed, coconut oil or palm oil metabolizes in the body easier for some people.

    The Importance of B vitamins

Posted by Val On October - 21 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

I am discovering will all my clients one of the most benificial vitamins for the body is a whole food B vitamin. Synthethic B vitamins rob the body, but whole food vitamins such as Cataplex B and Cataplex B-12 from Standard Process nourish the foundation of the endrocrine system. Whole food B-12 is also great for healthy brain function. We all need that!

I believe in starting with the foundations first, ( using the correct amounts of protein, carbohydrates, fats, minerals, and clean water) and letting the body repair itself. If you don’t address the foundations you will be forever treating the same problems.
B vitamins are important but if the rest of your diet is not good you will not get the benefits.

Whole food supplements (NOT synthetic vitamins!)

As a nation, we eat poor-quality foods that have been stripped of nutrients. We do not consume enough fresh fruits and vegetables. Many of us get our whole grains from instant rice, refined wheat breads, pastas, and cereal. We eat a tremendous amount of prepackaged, pre-made meals. One-quarter of Americans eat at fast food restaurants each day. Americans are overfed and undernourished.

The foods we eat are not providing our bodies with the nutrition it needs to survive and be healthy. We are starving our bodies and we are sick. We suffer from diabetes, heart attacks, obesity, and the list goes on and on.

Given proper nutrition, the human body has an amazing ability to heal itself. If properly fed and given the right nutrients, the human body is designed to repair itself. To do so, we need to eat a healthier diet, exercise, and take high-quality supplements made from whole foods. Whole food supplements supply our bodies with nutrients we are not getting from our diet, all the vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, and phytonutrients that foods possess in a way that nature intended, in a whole food form.

Whole food supplements are made by concentrating foods for use in supplements. When processed correctly, they supply a multitude of the plant’s components. Foods provide nutrients that work synergistically. They work together to provide you with optimal nutrition for good health.
